So, no ping from another box (and in fact no ipv6 at all without CLI configuration or Result: the advanced networking pack renders by default a Windows XP network awfully slow if ipv6 is activated. We are about to perform a very large implementation of Windows XP in my organisation. The current network infrastructure is 10M Half duplex. machine to my small (5 PCs) 10Base2 / 10BaseT network the file transfer speeds to / from the XP machine were a lot slower than between the other existing Win98 machines.
